mCROPS showcase at the NaCRRI Roots Seminar series

mCROPS team under the invitation of Dr. Robert Kawuki, the co-ordinator of the root crops seminar series at NaCRRI , presented research and innovations already in test and those under development geared to combat rate-limiting tasks and access to real-time spatial and temporal data in the research processes of agriculture like vector and symptomatic measurement, adhoc surveillance and monitoring of disease and anomalies amongst many others.
The mCROPS team was represented by Dr. Ernest Mwebaze and Mutembesa Daniel who both made presentations on automaton of symptomatic and vector measurement and adhoc surveillance systems respectively.
Also presenting from NaCRRI were Mr. Tom Omara on cassava seed validation processes and Mr. Phillip Abidrabo on his research in pathology of the Cassava Viruses.
The trip was crowned with a meeting with Dr. Christopher Omongo, the acting director of the Cassava Regional Centre of Excellence and a member of the steering committee of the Cassava Adhoc Surveillance Project.
